Profile
Based
in Reading, Berkshire, JC Engineering Services, established
in 1970 by John Churchill has been serving the electronics
and general sub-contract engineering market for over
40 years.
Facilities: Whilst
the company has always been established on the Battle
Farm Trading Estate it wasn't until 2006 that we moved to
our
current location, a large open plan 10000ft2 facility with
plenty of room for growth. This not only offers plenty of
space for our machines but also for storage, materials, assembly,
fabrication and inspection. We also currently maintain the lease
on our original facilities, an extra 3,000ft2, which we use
predominantly for fabrication.
Quality: In January 2009 we achieved ISO 9001:2008 accreditation awarded through ACS Registrars making us even better placed to offer our customers a first rate service. Click the image to the right to see our quality certificate.
Investment: As
a growing company we are pursueing a rapid program of investment
in both facilities, plant and personel. Recent investments include:
- 2009:
ISO 9001:2008 Accreditation
- 2007:
New Delta 1250RS Thin Turret
- 2006:
New IT Network & Systems roll out
- 2006:
New 80 Ton LVD PPEB-EF Brake Press
- 2005:
618+ Haeger Fastener Insertion System.
Training: We
take an active role in developing our staff, including our
apprentice level engineers, not only to help grow our own
organisation but also to help nurture the engineering skillsets
of the Reading area.
Health
& Safety: Our employees welfare is critical to our
development. Not only do we ensure the tightest safety procedures
are in place in the workplace and carry £10m worth of employers
insurance but we also encourage health & safety awareness and
send our staff on training sessions including materials handling,
safety in welding, inspection and testing of mechanical power
presses and control of noise in engineering.
