CNC laser cutting is a mechanical process that allows us to cut shapes from metal, including straight lines as well as complex contours.
Whilst much of our work with the CNC laser cutter involves standard rectangular forms, the technology, as a development from CNC punching, offers its own distinct opportunities for integrating design into reality which were not possible with the CNC punching technology, such as fine stencilling, sequential numbering and the cutting of thick materials such as 20mm steel plate.
When you are considering your design, the profiles that you can produce on the CNC laser cutter could well be the constraining factor in your product design, defining where folds go and the manner of the subsequent forming and fabrication steps.
